Two Smiling Women forming heart with their hands

The talks and writings of Ancient Purity co-founder Clive de Carle served as the inspirational source for this report.

Sulfur in one of its organic forms is one of the most important nutrients needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle, particularly as it relates to our eyesight.

Cysteine is a sulfur-based amino acid naturally found in high-protein foods such as chicken, cheese, and eggs that the body uses along with two other amino acids (glutamine and glycine) to synthesize and replenish an enzyme called glutathione, which is often referred to as the most powerful antioxidant of our immune system.

N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a supplement form of cysteine that the World Health Organization includes in its List of Essential Medicines, which describes the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system.

One of glutathione’s benefits is that it helps protect cells and tissues from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

Sulfur is a vital component of other enzymes, such as the enzyme that pumps excess fluid out of the crystalline lens of our eye so that we are able to maintain a clear focus. An analogy would be to compare the look of a pure quartz crystal with another crystal that contains impurities that interfere with its lattice structure so that it appears cloudy or milky to the viewer.

Sulfur is a potent detoxification mineral that is capable of neutralizing and removing toxic heavy metals, including mercury, which is often linked medically to cataracts. The lens component of our eyes is the densest protein in our body, so that if the lens has been exposed to mercury, this metal remains there for a longer period of time than in other tissues. On the other hand, if sulfur is present in the proteins of our lens, it can begin to bind itself with mercury and remove it. Vitamin C and sulfur jointly play important roles in the health of all connective tissues, and can affect the structural integrity and healing capacity of every part of our eyes.

What is Organic Sulfur MSM?

Organic Sulfur is a white crystalline food supplement that this site and others sell that is a potent form of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) that is an important binder of soft tissues in the body.

MSM is naturally present in a variety of foods, such as fresh raw fruit and vegetables, milk, meat, and seafood. However, much of this natural MSM is lost due to commercial food processing as well as cooking, drying, smoking, pickling, and long-term storage. As a result, most people are likely to be sulfur-deficient. Because our bodies do not store MSM, we need to consume a fresh supply every day.

MSM plays an important role on behalf of the amino acid chain. Radioisotope studies have shown that the sulfur atom in MSM is used by the body to manufacture two essential sulfur-based amino acids: cystine (an oxidized form of cysteine) and methionine. Without sufficient MSM in our body, other amino acids will build up in the glands but fail to manufacture complete enzymes. Consequentially, we may be susceptible to unnecessary illness or disease.

    Hi
I found that I had an organic zinc sulfate monohydrate
Bag in my cupboard I had purchased a couple years ago. Is this the same thing as your sulphur?

While they may both have a similar white crystalline appearance, Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate is not the same compound as Organic Sulfur (methylsulfonylmethane). For one, their chemical compositions are totally different; Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate contains zinc (Zn) and does not include the methyl group molecule (CH3), which is found in Organic Sulfur.

      CHEMICAL FORMULAS
      Organic Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate: ZnSO4•H2O
      Organic Sulfur: (CH3)2SO2

Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate is manufactured and sold for different markets. The dietary supplement form is taken to address zinc deficiencies. In addition, there are other forms of this substance that are used by Big Pharma, the military and in agriculture (as fertilizer), so you would need to find out whether the product you have is safe to consume.
