If you mix sulfur crystals with water and drink it straight, you will very likely notice its sharp, bitter flavor. This is especially the case if you are sulfur-deficient when you begin the regimen. Even if your diet includes sulfur-rich foods such as egg yolks, garlic, onions, and the cruciferous vegetables (e.g., broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage), if they’re not obtained from organic sources and you cook them before eating, much of their natural sulfur will be lost and not be bio-available to your body.
