If the products that you take for your health are making you feel better, chances are that you should keep right on taking them. If they don’t help or make you feel worse, then stop. Pretty simple idea, eh?

Chances are, you wouldn’t try to drive yourself to a destination that you’ve never been to before without consulting a map. In like manner, take a little time to educate yourself about the potential side effects before you start taking a prescription drug or dietary supplement. Where possible, read product labels and ask your doctor about the risks. If you take product x with y, observe whether they work synergistically or not. Check out books and medical journals at your local library and log onto the Internet to learn what others have reported – both pro and con.
